Thanks for taking the time to read the "About Me" page. These days so many people call me on the phone and ask,"Is this a real store? I just wanted to call the # and make sure you were for real." So, yes, I am a real store and I thought it might me interesting to some people to find out how my love for horses and western riding started.

At the age of 9 years old, I started saving my birthday money to purchase my first horse. With a little help from my aunt, who worked as a seamstress making custom clothing, we put our spare change in the cookie jar. Two years later, I was the proud owner of my first horse, Velvet. I was inspired to name her Velvet probably because I had watched the movie, National Velvet so many times. The irony in this is that I have never learned how to ride English. Soon, I became a big western event fan, always practicing for the next western horse show in the small town I grew up in.

Although that was MANY years ago, I still feel that undescribable spirt of adventure when I put on my western hat, boots and apparel and go for a simple pleasure ride. The spirit of my child from days gone by reappears and the problems of adulthood melt away when I am riding my horse. I hope you have that same sense of furfillment when you ride as well.
